2012 Pinewood Derby - Saturday, January 28

This Saturday is our annual Pinewood Derby. Weigh-in starts at 9 am with racing starting at 10:10 am. We will have pizza, drinks and chips for lunch. Each Scout will receive 1 ticket for their lunch. Parents, siblings and visitors may purchase a lunch (pizza, chips and drink) for a very nominal price.

Agenda:

9:00 am - Weigh-in starts
10:00 am - All cars in pit row ready to race
10:00 am - Best in show voting
10:10 am - All Pack heat begins

Following the All Pack heat the trophies for the All Pack races and Best in Show will be handed out.

Individual Den heats follow in the order of Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos. We will recognize Den heat winners immediately following their respective races.

We will have an Open heat at the end for anyone who wishes to stick around. Anyone may race in the Open heat and there are NO restrictions on car design and/or modifications.

If everything runs smoothly we should be done a little after noon.

Cub Scout Klondike - Postponed

Due to weather conditions the Cub Scout Klondike was postponed. As soon as we hear about a make-up date we'll pass that information along. If you were not orginally scheduled for the Klondike but think you would like to attend, please let Mr. Bowser know as soon as possible.

Fall 2011 Cub Campout

We had a great time at our Fall 2011 Cub Campout even though the weather was a bit cold. Thanks to everyone who camped out or dropped by for some time around the camp fire. Check out the Photo Gallery for more pictures.

Pack 436 welcomes several new Scouts for the 2011 - 12 school year! Below is a list of patches you will need when you purchase your Scout's Class A shirt.

Maim Valley Council Patch - $2.59

Please check your Scouts Den below for appropriate Den #

Pack Number - $1.19 per number

Scout World Crest - $1.49

Your Den leader can help you with learning the placement of the patches on the Scout Class A shirt. Remember Tigers, Wolves and Bears wear the blue Class A shirt. Webelos I and II can wear either the blue Class A or the Tan Class A shirt.

Uniforms can be purchased from the local Scout shop or you may check eBay or Scoutstuff.org

Miami Valley BSA Scout Shop

The Miami Valley BSA Scout offices and shop have moved. They are now located at 6550 Poe Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45413.

Directions to the shop are:

I-75 North to Benchwood exit. Turn right. Take the next right and turn right again onto Poe Avenue. Turn right on Space Drive. The Scout offices and shop are located in the Electricians Local 82 building.
